THE GOLD DETECTIVE
Goldbugs look at this chart probably more than any other. Gold. The metal.
(Note that since drawing these charts gold has spiked up over $390 and rebounded to just over $370)
GOLD (Traced from Stockcharts)

In the first frame we get to see gold with a slightly better feel for price potential than usual - commercial stock charts tend to stop just above chart highs. I expect gold to leap much higher soon therefore I have included some price headroom to enable us to get a sense of perspective.
The double headed arrows show that the blue and green, and green and gold interplanetary distances are equal. If Blue is the start of this pattern, and gold is the destination, then green is the fulcrum. But the green and blue planets are not even on the chart. How can you possibly suggest they mean anything, I hear you say. Well, I intend to show they have indeed more gravitational pull on the direction of gold than full moon and astrological conjunctions, two phenomena I have recently observed being given credence on a certain gold forum.
GOLD TRENDS

The next chart shows four sets of parallel lines. There is at least one other set, but I am saving that for last. A sinusoidal is sketched in - I would not attach any real significance to it at this stage - especially the outward-bound trajectory to the right. I have dropped the price and year grid lines, since the chart becomes congested otherwise.
Note how the prevailing wind changes direction as we 'round The Horn'. Right now we are in a purple up-trend channel looking to test once more that pale blue resistance line running through the pale blue planet. Before we do, we may have to test the blue support.
GOLD TRIANGLES

Recently some chartists have noted a short-term bearish rising pennant in the chat of gold. This may well resolve into a re-test of $360. Certainly the legendary Tic Toc chart of Falcor III suggests as much. Looking back at the gold price since 1990 we can identify at least 6 major triangles, where price volatility is squeezed until breakout ensues. A, D and especially C may not have felt like it at the time they were building, but they were actually bullish descending triangles. It is difficult to break out to the downside of a descending triangle, since this would mean an acceleration of trend, and these proved to be no exception to that rule. E and B are symmetrical triangles - pointing forwards rather than up or down. B broke to the downside indicating a bear market. E broke up, showing that a bull market in gold is with us. However, the real surprise is F. This would normally be a bearish formation, but on this occasion it proved bullish. This gives some early indication as to the true strength of this gold bull. (Even more recently a breakout from another symmetrical triangle has been noted by many obsrevers).
GOLD FANS 1

Each of the planets on the chart was treated to a stiff fanalysis. There are 6 points, and believe me, with all 6 fans drawn you can't see a thing! Therefore I have spilt these 3 & 3 over the next 2 charts. The light purple fan is shown touching the centre of the off-chart deep pink planet. Actually, had I extended the fan lines a bit more it would also hit the olive green and gold planets too. The red fan is shown touching gold but another fan line could also have been drawn to olive just below the lowest red line shown. Meanwhile the silver planet fan also finds gold. Those speculative planets that were 'off the chart' are being found by triangulation from other chart-based fans.
GOLD FANS 2

Now we draw in the other 3 chart fans. This time the triangulation of the hidden gold, deep pink and olive planets is much more obvious. taken together, there is no doubt in my mind that the 6 chart fans strongly indicate the presence of planets deep pink, olive and ... gold. Even the green planet has been triangulated, though only by two vectors, and one of these has a large margin of error (light blue). Green needs to be further tested.
It is time to examine more closely the significance of the rogue planets.
GOLDEN SEE SAW

I drew a fan centred on each planet to see what happened. Now green dominates the scene. Equidistant from, and in line with blue and gold, it subtends a spectacular 180 degree fan. Olive and Deep Pink connect not a few a few dots, too.
But what of Gold?
