KERNEN’S LAMENT
Kernen asks, “what’s going on?
It seems to begin across the pond,
OIL grows bigger like an ocean breaker,
I’ve just had a vision of my maker.
Platinum is completely out of control,
I’ll soon be eating from my doggie’s bowl,
and GOLD is screaming ever higher,
I’m a bear no longer, I’m a buyer.
Coffee costs me more each week,
this economy definitely has a leak,
investing is no longer for the meek,
and I ain’t talking tongue in cheek!!
Wheat has blown the market wide open,
sometimes I find myself still hopin‘
OIL will go back down to twenty,
we will wake up having plenty,
we’ll go back to the good old days,
when I was living in a daze,
could make a living just by winking,
now I have to do all this thinking!!!
Somebody tell me inflation’s tame
that the Chicago Merc is not in flames,
somebody come and soothe my brow,
this market used to be my cash cow!!!”
