The Bureau of Labor Statistics this morning released new revised benchmark payroll totals used for estimating employment in the United States. The new revisions adjusted payrolls, for the year-long period ending in March 2025, downward by 911,000.

US producer prices increased by the most in three years in July amid a surge in the costs of goods and services, suggesting a broad pickup in inflation was imminent, Reuters reported in mid-August.

Following the release of last month’s official federal jobs numbers, President Trump complained that the commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics was publishing inaccurate, too-low employment numbers to make Trump look bad. So, Trump fired the commissioner....

Even though the Fed has indicated that they're likely to begin cutting rates again after a pause this month, we don't have that recession signal yet. This is significant gold against the stock market.

It seems like we are starting to see a trend here. As El Salvador just became the latest country to add gold to its reserves, doing so for the first time in 35 years.

The gold bugs are right. Gold is an important asset that everybody should hold. And yet, the mainstream looks at these so-called gold bugs with derision.
