Gold price up‚ silver stable

Kathmandu-Nepal (Nov 22)   The price of gold went up slightly, while that of silver remained stable in the week — November 16 to 21. The price of gold was set at Rs 51,000 per tola when the market opened on Sunday. On Monday, the price of the yellow metal dropped by Rs 100 per tola to settle at Rs 50,900 per tola.

The price of the bullion continued to fall on Tuesday and declined by Rs 100 per tola to Rs 50,800. However, on Wednesday, the previous day’s loss was recovered with the price going up by Rs 100 per tola to Rs 50,900 per tola. The price of the yellow metal remained unchanged on Thursday, before rising by Rs 200 per tola to settle at Rs 51,100 per tola on Friday — the last trading day of the week.

Hence, the gold price on Friday settled at the similar price as in the beginning of the trading week. The price of silver remained stable throughout the week, recording neither loss nor gain. Silver was traded at Rs 700 per tola in the week.
