Gold Price Pops Back Above $1,300, At Daily High, On New North Korea Threats

New York (Sept 25)  Gold prices have moved to moderately higher levels on the day and are at session highs on safe-haven demand after news reports surfaced that a North Korean government official said weekend comments from US President Donald Trump about his country are grounds for declaring war against the US. The official also said North Korea will shoot down U.S. warplanes that come close to North Korea. December gold was last up $6.50 an ounce at $1,303.80.
