Increased Risk Appetite Pressures Gold Price

New York (Feb 16)  Gold is are under solid selling pressure Tuesday morning, on profit taking and a corrective pullback from the recent strong gains. There is better risk appetite in the world marketplace early this week, following the long U.S. holiday weekend. Asian stock markets rallied Tuesday, led by China's Shanghai stock index trading up over 3% on the day. European stocks are also firmer. Both regions' stock markets also saw gains posted in trading Monday. U.S. stock indexes are pointed to higher openings on their first trading day of the week.
