Gold price gains, oil pares some losses after Fed announcement
New York (Sept 17) Gold futures climbed on Globex Thursday, while oil futures on the New York Mercantile Exchange pared some of its losses after the Federal Open Market Committee left its interest rates unchanged but said it forecasts a hike this year. Spot gold jumped $8 t0 $1,129, while silver surges 2% to $15.22. Platinum also jumped nearly $8 to $982, while palladium rose $4 to $614.
