Some safe-haven demand and short covering are featured, amid some uncertainty in the marketplace after a weekend shake-up in Saudi Arabia Kingdom leadership. Several Saudi princes and prominent businessmen were arrested on charges of corruption. December gold was last up $5.10 an ounce at $1,274.30.
