US Dollar Rises Against Most Major Currencies

Ottawa-Canada (Dec 15)  Reversing direction, the US dollar advanced against most major currencies in early European deals on Monday.

The greenback gained to 1.1582 against the loonie, 1.2415 against the euro and 0.9673 against the franc, after falling to 1.1547, 1.2476 and 0.9624, respectively in previous deals.

The greenback advanced to a 4-day high of 1.5674 against the pound, off early 4-day low of 1.5746.

If the greenback rises further, it may find resistance around 1.18 against the loonie, 1.22 against the euro, 1.00 against the franc and 1.55 against the pound.
