API shows weekly rise in US crude stocks, fuel inventories fall, sources say
NEW YORK (March 17) U.S. crude stocks rose last week while fuel inventories fell, market sources said, citing American Petroleum Institute figures on Tuesday.
Crude stocks rose by 6.56 million barrels in the week ended March 13, the sources said on condition of anonymity. Gasoline inventories fell by 4.56 million barrels, while distillate inventories fell by 1.39 million barrels from a week earlier, the sources said.
