Gold futures climbs 0.5% to Rs 32,232; sliver shines 0.7%

MUMBAI-INDIA (Sept 3)  Domestic gold and silver prices gained in noon trade on Tuesday. In India, October 2013 gold futures at the MCX were trading up 0.51% at Rs 32,232 per 10 grams at 12.40 p.m. It opened at Rs 32,941.

September 2013 silver futures at the MCX were trading up 0.69% at Rs 55,334 per 1 kg after hitting high of Rs 55,334. It opened at Rs 54,890.

In global markets, gold futures for September 2013 down 0.17% at USD 1,393.6 per troy ounce at the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. (12.50 p.m.)

However, Comex Silver futures for September 2013 gained 2.65% at USD 24.08 per troy ounce.
