Gold Price Weaker As U.S. Dollar Index Firmer

New York (May 12)  Gold prices are weaker in early U.S. trading, as the U.S. dollar index is Higher. Gold has had a very keen inverse trading relationship on a daily basis with the dollar index Recently. World stock markets were mostly weaker overnight. It's been a very quiet week, so far, on the markets-moving news front. U.S. stock indexes were pointed to higher openings when the day session begins in New York.
