Russian Jan-Aug gold output at 193.58 T - finance ministry

Moscow-Russian (Dec 5)  Russia produced 193.58 tonnes of gold in the first eight months of 2017, up from 179.73 tonnes in the same period last year, the finance ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

Production for the period included 158.13 tonnes of mined gold compared with 147.64 tonnes a year ago.

Silver production totalled 688.89 tonnes, up from 682.73 tonnes in the same period of 2016, the ministry added.
