Gold Moves To Daily High On Position Evening, Weakening Greenback

New York (June 11)  Gold prices have moved to modestly higher levels and to their daily highs in late-morning action Monday. Some evening of futures positions ahead of Tuesday's summit meeting between the U.S. and North Korea is featured. Also, the U.S. dollar index has backed off its daily highs and is trading slightly lower on the day, which is benefitting the precious metals market bulls. August gold was last up $2.10 an ounce at $1,305.00.

On the other side of the coin spot platinum dropped lower by $8 to $903.
