Central banks are said to have lent their gold for about 1% per annum - the cheapest borrowed money on earth. They have not reported these loans as sales meaning their official gold reserves remain constant. But the leased gold is gone.
Over the past two weeks, two major U.S. institutions told their clients to sell gold and gold shares because the said they believed the move in gold was all but over.

Drowning in U.S. Dollars
Gold is getting hot and the environment is ripe for a sustained rise. Gold hit another over two year high for the fourth time since February and the bull market is gaining steam. Gold shares soared even more. As a group they're up 60% this year.

Memorial Day Meltdown is bubbling along quite nicely thank you. No, the Stock Market hasn't crashed yet, but the system is failing. If you are not careful, you will soon have a dent in your head from the falling economic debris.
It seems that there are two different possible types of dollar devaluation.
