Gold And Treasuries Are Rallying Hard

New York (Dec 10)  Gold and bonds are rallying strongly today as the Dow Index slides 5 points to 16021.

Right now, the yellow metal is trading at spot $1265 an ounce, up 1.9% from yesterday. Meanwhile 10-year U.S. Treasury futures are up 0.4%, and the yield on the 10-year note is trading just below 2.80%, down 4 basis points from Monday's close.

S&P 500 futures are trading at 1808...basically flat.

If today's gains hold through to the close, it will mark the third straight session in the green for gold and Treasuries, which both fell over several sessions going into last Friday's November nonfarm payrolls release.
