Gold Ends Higher To Recoup Most Of Recent Loss
SAN FRANCISCO (Aug 14) Gold futures ended higher on Wednesday to recoup most of what they lost in the previous session. December gold rose $12.90, or 1%, to settle at $1,333.40 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. Prices lost $13.70, or 1%, on Tuesday. Silver futures were a standout, with the September contract tacking on 2.1%, or 44 cents, to finish at $21.79 an ounce after closing out Tuesday with a slight gain.
