Gold & Silver Prices Drop To Session Lows As US Dollar Index Moves To Daily High

New York (Mar 7)  Gold and silver prices have extended modest early losses and are trading at their daily lows in late-morning action Wednesday. The metals started to move lower when the U.S. dollar index pushed above unchanged. The USDX is presently trading near its daily high. The strong daily inverse trading relationship between the metals and the U.S. dollar index continues. April gold was last down $6.10 at $1,329.10. May silver was last down 25 cents at $16.535.

By 11:30am EST spot platinum plunged $18 to $950 as spot palladium dropped $18 to $965...while spot silver slid 23 cents to $16.47.
