September 14, 2018

New York (Sept 14)  Gold prices are trading slightly down and are near their daily lows in mid-morning action Friday. The yellow metal lost its modest early price gains when the U.S. dollar index moved higher and hit its session high. Little risk aversion in the marketplace at present has also been working against the precious metals markets bulls. December gold was last down $1.50 an ounce at $1,206.70.

By 10:35am EST spot gold had fallen $7 to $1,198, whils spot silver was down nearly 1% to 14.14.
