Gold price higher on safe haven demand as world marketplace still nervous

June 27, 2016

New York (Jun 27)  The world marketplace is still feeling the hangover effects of last Thursday's U.K. vote to leave the European Union. European stock markets were solidly lower overnight, with the U.S. Dow Jones Industrial average set to open over 100 points lower when the U.S. day session begins. Asian stocks began to recover from the Brexit shock as Chinese and Japanese stock markets posted overall gains Monday.
