Gold price off lows but interest rate rise expectations weigh

London (Dec 7)  The gold price recovered during Wednesday December 7 trading, having fallen to fresh ten-month lows in the previous session.

The spot gold price was last at $1,171.45/1,171.80 per oz, up $2.82 on Tuesday's close and moving smartly away from yesterday’s low of $1,157.40. Still, the market remains.

Spot silver edges upward 11 cents to $16.79, while spot palladium slides $2 to $732.
