We are now seeing a convergence of indications that a reversal in the Precious Metals sector is at hand that will lead to a major uptrend soon.

It was an interesting week to say the least. One I can say I don't ever recall seeing the likes of, and one which is quite likely a warning shot across the bow.

The US stock markets have enjoyed an awesome run since late August, with the flagship S&P 500 stock index (SPX) up 23.7%. Traders have earned huge profits in sectors that leverage general-stock-market gains, including commodities stocks.

Today the stock market bled out with a river of red candles. All of the recent gains vanished in one session. Strong selling volume sessions like this are typically a warning sign that distribution selling is starting to enter the market.

It's that time again when volume dries up and prices rise into the new year. A lot of individuals are scrambling to prepare for the holidays, even though we had a year to prepare.

The past week was surprisingly uneventful. With Friday's quadruple witching day being near comatose. It was interesting to see early in the week some of the major winners for the year being sold off though, as traders booked profits for the year.

Silver has been a rock-star in recent months, rocketing higher to dazzling gains. After such a blistering near-vertical ascent, technicians understandably fear this metal has become wildly overbought.

So far this week we have been seeing fear creep in the equities market. This Wednesday we started to see fear (green indicator) reach a level which tells me to start looking for the market to bottoming.

The week past was absolutely perfect for US markets in general as they consolidated the huge gains from the week before. The S&P traded in a narrow range at an important horizontal level and is resting.

Earlier this week, the flagship HUI gold-stock index powered up to new all-time record highs. While fantastic for gold-stock investors and speculators, such lofty achievements inevitably cement more big bricks on top of the wall of worries.
